Product Parameters
Product Description
Marley Fills
The Marley cross-flow cooling tower packing is a key component in the cooling tower used to facilitate heat exchange.
Characteristics
·High heat exchange efficiency: It is usually of the thin-film type, with fine protruding corrugations on the surface. This can increase the contact area between water and air, effectively increase the heat dissipation amount, extend the residence time of the cooling water, and improve the heat exchange efficiency.
·Good hydrophilicity: The surface presents a rough yet relatively smooth plane, with good hydrophilicity. This allows water to spread better on the surface of the packing, which is conducive to heat exchange.
·Low ventilation resistance: With a reasonable design, air can pass through smoothly, and the wind resistance coefficient is small. Without affecting ventilation, it ensures sufficient contact between air and water.
·Stable performance: It has the characteristics of being not easy to deform, resistant to high temperatures, and anti-aging. Moreover, it has good flame retardancy, can maintain a good working state for a long time, and has a relatively long service life.
Materials
The commonly seen material is polyvinyl chloride (PVC), which has the advantages of good chemical stability and a
relatively low price, and can maintain good performance within a certain temperature range. For some with special requirements, materials such as chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) or polypropylene (PP) may be used.
Specifications
There are various specifications available for selection. For example, the common widths are 750mm, 920mm, 1220mm, 1520mm, etc., and the length can be customized according to actual needs.
Application Fields
It is widely applied in many fields that require circulating water cooling, such as air conditioning cooling systems, refrigeration series, power generation, steam turbines, aluminum profile processing, air compressors, and industrial water cooling.
Installation Precautions
·Construction protection: Before construction, other equipment on the site should be protected, and construction material cloth should be laid on the waterproof layer of the floor.
·Removal of old materials: Turn off the power supply of the motor, remove the tie bars at the packing part of the cooling tower, and then remove the old packing and clean up the garbage inside the tower.
·Filling of new materials: When bonding, ensure that the contact points of the packing are on the same horizontal plane to ensure uniform and tight force during the crimping process.
·Cleaning inside the tower: Stack the packing in order inside the cooling tower. It is strictly prohibited to trample or squeeze it. Ensure that each stack and each layer of packing blocks are neatly arranged, and make sure that there are no gaps between the packing and the corners and around the columns. In difficult areas, the interval should not exceed 2mm. After that, restore the tie bars at the packing part of the cooling tower.
·Operation specifications: Assemble the blocks in the up-down direction and lay each layer flat on the top surface; when installation, maintenance, and other work need to be carried out on the packing, the operation must be carried out on a flat plate, and it is strictly prohibited to trample on the packing; during the entire construction process, welding operations above the packing are strictly prohibited. Fire prevention measures should be taken when necessary.
S-wave
S-wave packing is a crucial part of cooling tower heat exchange systems, significantly boosting heat dissipation. Its S - wave shape creates a large water - air contact area, enhancing heat transfer.
Typically made of PVC or CPVC, S-wave packing has advantages like chemical stability and cost - effectiveness with PVC, and high - temperature and corrosion resistance with CPVC. Both materials are flame - retardant, ensuring safe operation.
In terms of specifications, it offers flexibility. A common 500mm width suits various cooling towers, and the length can be
customized. The carefully designed slice pitch balances ventilation and heat exchange.
Performance - wise, it has good hydrophilicity for even water spread and outstanding anti - aging properties, extending equipment lifespan and cutting maintenance costs. Due to these, S - wave packing is widely used in air - conditioning, industrial cooling, and power generation, supporting the stable operation of diverse facilities.
Small inclined-wave
The small inclined-wave packing is a kind of high-efficiency filling material for water treatment. Its unique inclined-wave structural design greatly increases the specific surface area, enabling more sufficient contact between gas and liquid or between liquids, and significantly improving the mass transfer efficiency. The material usually has good chemical stability and corrosion resistance, and can adapt to a variety of complex water quality environments. Moreover, this packing is easy to install, and the water flow is evenly distributed, which can effectively reduce energy consumption. It is widely applied in various industrial and civil water treatment equipment.
